The aim of the course is to provide delegates with the knowledge and skills required to perform first, second and third-party audits of occupational health and safety management systems against ISO 45001:2018, in accordance with ISO 19011 and ISO/IEC 17021-1, as applicable.
Delegates who successfully complete this CQI and IRCA Certified ISO 45001:2018 Lead Auditor (OHSMS) Online Training course — within the five years prior to making an application to become a certificated auditor — will satisfy the training requirements for initial certification as an IRCA OHSMS auditor.

You will understand the structure and key requirements of ISO 45001:2018 — organizational context, hazard identification, risk assessment, OH&S policies and objectives — and the ISO 19011 auditing guidelines. Hands-on, you will audit OH&S policies and objectives and build an audit checklist based on ISO 45001:2018.
Audit Management & Auditor Competence
You will master audit management principles and the competencies effective auditors need, including evaluating hazard identification, risk assessment processes and auditor behavior, through group role-plays simulating an audit of top management and practical tips for audit preparation and execution.
Nonconformity Reporting & Audit Planning
You will write defensible nonconformity reports, manage corrective actions and prepare audit reports, then plan and conduct a Stage 1 audit and transition to Stage 2 planning — including a full Stage 1 audit of the case-study company and group exercises in audit program management.
Conducting Stage 2 Audits — Role-Play Simulations
You will experience real-world auditing: lead opening meetings and execute a Stage 2 certification audit against ISO 45001:2018 requirements in breakout-room simulations, interviewing auditees, gathering objective evidence, and reinforcing NCR writing and corrective-action follow-up.
Closing the Audit — Meetings & Corrective Action Review
You will complete the cycle: present conclusions at a simulated closing meeting with instructor feedback, review corrective actions, and consolidate everything with a full course recap and structured CQI IRCA exam-readiness review.

CQI IRCA Exam Procedure
After completing the course, you have 30 days from the final day to sit the official CQI IRCA exam through the online testing platform. Before your exam, use the Demo Exam Portal to familiarize yourself with the system and question format, and practice with sample questions.
If you don't take the exam within 30 days
- Your first attempt is marked “DNS” (Did Not Submit). No extensions are allowed.
- You remain eligible for a second attempt within 1 year of course completion.
- To reschedule, contact 3FOLD and pay a resit fee of only AED 125 — no extra fee beyond the official CQI IRCA cost.
If you appear but fail
- You'll receive a section-wise performance report across the 5 exam domains.
- Retake the exam for the AED 125 resit fee.
- Attend the training again, free of cost, within 1 year of completing the course.
If you fail the second attempt
- CQI IRCA requires you to attend the full course again.
- A Levy + Exam fee totaling AED 310 applies for the third attempt.
- If you don't pass the third attempt, retake the exam again for AED 125 (resit fee).
- You can attend the training free of cost within 1 year of completing the course.
