How does the exam fit into the course fee?

The first attempt at the CQI and IRCA exam is included, so you do not pay a separate exam fee for it.

According to the 3FOLD Training course page, the exam has 40 questions, runs for 1 hour 45 minutes and is open book, with extra time if English is not your first language. The page also states that you need 50% overall, with a minimum score in each of five domains. We prepare you for the exam; CQI and IRCA examine and certify, so the exam rules are theirs. Which certificate do you receive for the fee?

You receive a digital Certificate of Achievement if you pass, or a Certificate of Attendance if you complete the course but do not pass.

The difference matters. According to the course page, only the Certificate of Achievement can be used to apply for IRCA auditor membership. The certificate fee is already in the course fee, but applying for a grade is a separate step, which we cover below.

What support and access come with the fee?

You get LMS access, trainer feedback, support staff and free re-attendance for one year.

The LMS (learning management system) is where learners log in to prepare for the exam, and the course page lists three months of access. Trainers give feedback on activities during the live sessions, and support staff help before, during and after the training. What sits outside the course fee?

Costs that CQI and IRCA set for the auditor register, and any tax or local charge, are separate from what a training provider quotes.

The course fee covers the course, the exam and the certificate. Membership of the CQI IRCA register is a separate step with its own fees, set by CQI IRCA, and it needs audit experience that a course cannot provide.
