Certified Cost Professional (CCP®) exam preparation
The Certified Cost Professional (CCP®) is the flagship credential of AACE International (AACEI) in cost engineering, estimating and project controls. It recognizes experienced practitioners who can apply the principles and best practices of Total Cost Management (TCM) across the planning, execution and management of projects and programs, and communicate them to stakeholders at every level. CCP was formerly known as CCE/CCC (Certified Cost Engineer / Consultant).

The CCP exam moved from the previous four-domain structure to a weighted, six-domain blueprint plus the Communication memo. Our program is built to the new model and weights study time to match.

How the exam works now
The CCP is a 5-hour, closed-book, computer-based exam of 120 questions: 119 multiple-choice questions — simple items plus compound, scenario-based sets — across the six scored domains, followed by one memo-writing task. On-screen formula sheets are provided and any battery-operated calculator is allowed. The exam is scored as the average of the domain scores; you need 70% overall to pass, and results are released pass/fail, so no single domain can be ignored.

What is the Certified Cost Professional (CCP) certification?
The CCP certification is a globally recognized professional credential offered by AACE International (AACEI). It demonstrates a professional's expertise in cost management, estimation and control, and applying Total Cost Management principles. CCP was formerly known as CCE/CCC (Certified Cost Engineer/Consultant).
Who can pursue the CCP certification?
You need one of: a high school diploma with at least 8 years of relevant work experience in cost engineering, estimating or cost control, or a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) plus 4 years of relevant work experience. All education and experience documents must be submitted to AACEI when applying.
What is the structure of the CCP exam?

How do I apply for the CCP exam?
You complete AACEI's registration process, apply for AACEI membership, complete the online CCP exam application, and submit your experience and educational certificates to AACEI's certifications team in Word format. AACEI reviews your submission before confirming any further requirements. 3FOLD provides 1-on-1 support with this application.
How much does the CCP application cost?
The CCP application fee is USD 525 for AACEI members and USD 690 for non-members. The resit fee is USD 260 for both. All fees are paid to AACEI on submission and are non-refundable; they cover eligibility review and the computer-based testing fee. These fees are not included in the 3FOLD course price.
How do I maintain my CCP certification?
The CCP is valid for three years. To recertify, you must earn 12 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) across at least two categories, or choose to retake the exam instead.
How long is the CCP certification valid for?
Three years from the date it is issued, after which you must renew through recertification (12 CEUs) or reexamination.
