What is the PMI Training Partner Platform?

The PMI Training Partner Platform is the official online course environment used to provide PMI-developed learning content through Authorized Training Partners. For a learner enrolled by 3FOLD Training, the option appears inside the learner’s PMI account as the 3FOLD Training Partner Platform.

This is different from an ordinary provider LMS. 3FOLD may provide its own learning resources, recordings, mock examinations and support in a separate LMS, but the Training Partner Platform is where the learner claims the official PMI course assigned through the ATP relationship.

PMI states that only Authorized Training Partners use PMI official course content. For PMP exam preparation, PMI also explains that ATP courses use PMI-developed training aligned with the PMP exam content and satisfying the application’s 35-hour training requirement. This is why official platform access matters: it links the learner, the approved provider and PMI’s own courseware in one process.

PMI account vs PMI membership vs ATP course access

These terms are often mixed together, which leads students to expect access that has not yet been assigned. The comparison below makes the difference clear.

Students often call this a “lifetime PMI account” because it remains their personal PMI profile even when they do not have active paid membership. Can the platform help verify whether a provider is a legitimate ATP?

What will learners find inside the platform?

The course environment shown in the 3FOLD student guide includes the official PMP Exam Prep student course and structured learning sections. The precise interface and labels may change when PMI updates the platform, but the purpose remains the same: to give the learner access to the PMI-developed materials assigned through the ATP.

Depending on the current course release, learners may see course orientation, course material, learning activities, knowledge checks and downloadable resources.
