CCP Video Lessons and Study Guide: How to Use Both
A simple cycle for pairing each video lesson with the matching study guide section, and a planner for your weekly pace.
AACEI Approved Education Provider · Licensed by KHDA (Knowledge and Human Development Authority), Dubai
A self-paced course gives you video lessons and a study guide, but it does not tell you how to combine them. A clear routine saves time and keeps your notes in one place. This guide gives a five-step cycle that you can repeat for every lesson. Then it helps you set your weekly pace.
Quick answer
Pair each video lesson with the matching study guide section. Preview the section, watch the lesson, read the section, practise and review. This cycle is our suggestion, and AACE International (AACEI) does not set a study method. The planner below turns your lessons and weeks into a weekly pace.
Video lessons and study guide at a glance
| Fact | Detail |
|---|---|
| Provider | 3FOLD Training, an AACEI Approved Education Provider |
| Video lessons | 40 on-demand lessons |
| Study guide | Complete CCP study guide |
| Mock exams | 3 full-length mock exams |
| Format | Self-paced |
| Suggested cycle | Preview, watch, read, practise, review |
Why use both together?
A video lesson and a study guide teach in different ways. A lesson explains an idea at a steady pace. A study guide lets you read at your own speed and look things up later. Therefore, using both gives you two views of the same topic.
What each part does
The table below shows how we suggest using each part. However, it is our suggestion and not an AACEI statement.
| Course part | Best used for | How to use it (our suggestion) |
|---|---|---|
| Video lessons | Understanding a new idea | Watch once with a pause for each key point |
| Study guide | Reading detail and looking things up | Read the matching section after the lesson |
| Practice questions | Testing what you took in | Answer a few straight after the reading |
| Mock exams | Checking your level by domain | Take one early, one in the middle and one near the end |
Our CCP study guide overview explains how the guide is organised. Also, our guide to the CCP exam domains study order shows which domains to cover first.

What is a simple lesson cycle?
Use the same five steps for every lesson. They keep your sessions short and your notes in one place. These steps are our suggestions.
Step 1: preview the guide section
Skim the headings of the matching guide section before you press play. Then you know what the lesson should cover. Also, note any term that you do not know.
Step 2: watch the lesson
Watch with a pen or a notes file open. Pause at each key point and note it in a line. Our guide to taking notes from CCP video lessons gives a layout.
Step 3: read the guide section
Read the full section after the lesson. As a result, the detail attaches to ideas that you already understand. Add anything new to your notes.
Step 4: practise
Answer a few practice questions on the topic while it is fresh. Then mark the ones that you missed. Our mock exam results guide shows how to log the reason for each miss.
Step 5: review
Review your notes the next day and again after a week. However, do not rewatch the whole lesson. Instead, revisit only the parts that you missed.
Preview, watch, read, practise, review.
Can you plan your weekly pace?
Enter your lessons, your weeks and your sessions per lesson. Then the planner shows how many lessons to finish each week.
Lesson pairing planner
For planning only. Enter your lessons, your weeks and the sessions you want for each lesson. The planner then shows your weekly pace.
About this example: it starts with 40 lessons, 12 weeks and 3 sessions per lesson, which are watch, read and practise. Change the numbers to suit you.
Want to check your progress as you go? The program includes 3 full-length mock exams.
What if you fall behind?
Falling behind is common, and you can fix it. First, count the weeks that you have left. Then choose between two options.
Add one more session each week
One extra short session often closes a small gap. For example, use a lunch break for a lesson. Our guide to CCP exam study time helps you plan your hours.
Move your exam date
If the gap is large, give yourself more weeks. Our guide to the 72-hour rescheduling rule explains the rules for changing a booking. A fee can apply.
What the program includes
In addition, our CCP exam preparation program includes 40 on-demand video lessons, a complete CCP study guide, 3 full-length mock exams, a memo writing guide and a formula sheet and glossary. Our CCP study plan guide shows how to schedule them.
FAQ: video lessons and study guide
About pairing the two
Should you watch the video lessons before reading the CCP study guide?
Our suggestion is to preview the guide section, watch the lesson and then read the section in full. However, you can reverse the order if you prefer to read first.
Can you rely on video lessons alone for the CCP exam?
We suggest using both. Lessons explain the ideas, while a study guide lets you read, look things up and revise. Our CCP exam preparation program includes both, plus 3 full-length mock exams.
How do you link a video lesson to the right study guide section?
Use the contents page of the study guide to find the section on the same topic. Then note the section number beside your lesson notes, and tag both with a blueprint domain.
What should you do right after a lesson?
Answer a few practice questions on the topic, then note what you missed. Our mock exam results guide explains how to review the gaps.
About your pace
How many lessons should you watch each week?
Divide the number of lessons by the weeks that you have. For example, 40 lessons over 10 weeks is 4 lessons a week. The planner in this guide does the sum for you.
Should you rewatch video lessons?
Rewatch only the parts that your mock exam results show you missed, instead of the whole lesson. This saves time. It is our suggestion.
What if you fall behind on the lessons?
First, look at your weeks left. Then either add one more session each week or move your exam date. Our guide to the 72-hour rule explains rescheduling, and a fee can apply.
