If you work in the Gulf, the first practical question about the Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE®) exam from the American Society for Quality (ASQ) is not the syllabus. It is where you will sit it. In the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Saudi Arabia and Qatar, ASQ does not offer live remote proctoring, so you must test at a Prometric test center. This guide shows which cities to search in five Gulf countries and how to confirm your exact center before you book.
Candidates for the American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE) exam in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Qatar must test at a Prometric test center, because ASQ states that live remote proctoring is not available in those three countries. Public lists show Prometric centers in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, Al Khobar, Doha, Manama and Muscat, but the exact centers differ by exam sponsor, so confirm yours in Prometric’s ASQ locator before you book.

Can you take the CMQ/OE® exam online from the Gulf?
Not from the UAE, Saudi Arabia or Qatar. ASQ states that live remote proctoring is currently not available in China, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar and Pakistan, and examinees in those countries must take their exam at a Prometric test center.

The cities come from public Prometric center lists written for other test sponsors, so treat them as a starting point. ASQ’s own pages do not name Gulf centers, and Prometric states that changing your selected country after applying is not permitted.
Where are the Prometric test centers in the UAE?
Search Dubai and Abu Dhabi first. Public Prometric lists show centers in both cities, and for most UAE candidates one of them will be the closest option.
If you live in Sharjah, Ajman, Al Ain or another emirate, enter your own city in the locator and compare the drive to each listed center. Allow for traffic and parking, and if the trip is long, travel the day before so a delay cannot cost you your seat. Late arrivals cannot test and forfeit the exam fee.

Which Prometric test centers can you use in Saudi Arabia?
Search Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam and Al Khobar first, because public Prometric lists show centers in all four.
Other Saudi cities, for example Madinah, Tabuk, Taif and Hail, also appear on public lists. Those lists belong to other test sponsors, so only the ASQ search tells you which centers host CMQ/OE. Some older lists describe Saudi centers serving men only or women only, so read the listing for your center before you book.
What about Qatar, Bahrain and Oman?
Search Doha in Qatar, Manama in Bahrain and Muscat in Oman. Public Prometric lists show a center city in each of the three countries.
Qatar is on ASQ’s list of countries without live remote proctoring, so a Doha-area candidate must test at a center. In Bahrain and Oman you may have a choice between a center and a remote session. How do you find and confirm your exact test center?
Use the live locator on Prometric’s website, because it is the only source that shows which centers host ASQ exams today. It takes four steps, and you can search before you schedule.
Step 1: Open the ASQ page and choose Locate
On the ASQ page on Prometric, find the Test Center Exam card and choose Locate. Do not choose the Remote Exam card unless your country offers remote proctoring.
Step 2: Choose the CMQ/OE exam in the scheduler
In ProScheduler, Prometric’s scheduling tool, keep American Society for Quality as the test sponsor and program. Under Select a Test, choose Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence, not the paper-based (PBT) version, then choose Next.
Step 3: Enter your city and country, then complete the captcha
The scheduler asks for an address, city or zip/postal code. Type your city and country, for example Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, complete the captcha check and choose Next. Prometric notes that appointment availability varies by test center and can change until you schedule.
Step 4: Compare the centers and schedule
Compare the centers it lists by distance, address and opening hours, and make sure your name matches your ID. Gulf route and travel planner
For planning only. It uses ASQ’s published remote proctoring list and does not check live seat availability.
The planner opens with a candidate in the UAE who lives 1 to 3 hours from the nearest listed center. Remote proctoring is unavailable there, so the result is a center-only route, with a reminder to build in a buffer because late arrivals forfeit the exam fee.
What if there is no test center near you?
Choose the nearest city that has a center, and plan the trip around the exam rather than the other way round. ASQ also offers paper-based special administration exams in high-demand regions where Prometric has no test center availability.
ASQ lists those sessions separately from computer-based centers, with dates and locations on its exam locations page. Check whether one is scheduled near you before you commit to a long journey, and remember that the country you select when you apply cannot be changed afterward.
What should you know for exam day at a Gulf center?
Arrive at least 30 minutes early with a valid, unexpired, government-issued photo ID whose first and last name exactly match the name on your Prometric confirmation email.
