Cost professionals in Indonesia often ask where they can take the CCP exam and how to prepare while they work. The answer starts with AACE International (AACEI), which sets the exam rules for every country. This guide explains your exam options and the AACE Indonesia Section. Then it shows how to prepare.

CCP preparation in Indonesia at a glance

Can you take the CCP exam in Indonesia?

Yes. AACEI delivers the exam through Kryterion at a testing center or through online proctoring. In addition, the table below shows what AACEI says about the options. Therefore, we do not name any center here.

Finding a test center

First, use the Kryterion locator to check for a center near you. AACEI says that Kryterion has over 900 testing centers worldwide, and that you can test online if no center is within 3 to 5 hours. In addition, our guide to where you can take the CCP exam compares the two options.

Testing online from home or a quiet place

Online proctoring needs a computer that meets the system requirements. Therefore, run the Kryterion System Check before you book. Also, our guide to the Kryterion system check explains each test.

Is there an AACE Indonesia Section?

Yes. The AACE Indonesia Section connects cost engineering and project controls professionals across Indonesia. AACEI says that it has members in Jakarta, Surabaya and Bandung, and that it gives access to AACE’s global community.

The page says to check back for upcoming section events. Therefore, check the section page for current details. Meanwhile, our guide to online CCP preparation shows how to study around your work.

How do you verify your experience?

AACEI requires 8 years of industry-related experience, or 4 years plus a 4-year degree. Also, the same rules apply in every country. However, you need to prove your experience, and AACEI says that employers usually verify it.

Employer verification

First, AACEI has a verification form that an employer can complete for current and past experience. If a former employer will not verify your work, AACEI says that it usually accepts the employer’s verification of work history. In that case, ask AACEI how to proceed. Also, AACEI accepts a diploma translation only from an official translation service.

Self-employed candidates

If you work for yourself, our guide to CCP eligibility for the self-employed lists the documents. In addition, our guide to the CCP exam without a degree covers the experience route.

How do your mock scores compare with 70%?

AACEI says that you need an overall average of 70% to pass. Therefore, a mock average gives you a rough view of your progress. Enter your three mock scores below, and the checker shows the gap to 70%.

Mock scores do not predict your exam result, so use them to find weak skill areas. Also, our CCP study plan guide shows how to lay out your weeks.

What career opportunities can the CCP support in Indonesia?

AACEI presents the CCP as a way to advance your career. In fact, it says that the certification helps you gain global recognition in cost engineering, estimating and project controls excellence. In Indonesia, those skills apply wherever projects need cost control.

Roles to explore

Cost engineering, estimating and project controls are the fields that AACEI names. Therefore, search for roles such as cost engineer, estimator or project controls specialist. This list is our suggestion. Then read what each employer asks for.

Showing your CCP

After you pass, add the credential to your profile. In addition, our guide to adding the CCP to your CV and LinkedIn explains how, and our guide to what to do after you pass covers the next steps. However, we do not publish salary or hiring figures for Indonesia, because we cannot source them.
