Becoming PMP Certified

To become a certified project management professional, the aspirant must meet the eligibility requirements and have the financial capacity to commit to attaining the certification. One of the eligibility requirements to sit for the exam is having a total of 35 Professional Development Units (PDUs), that is, 35 hours of project management education. In order to get the best training with the right training resources, it is essential that delegates learn in a training institute that is accredited by the PMI. It’s no news that there are hundreds of training institutes offering the project management course, many of which are not accredited by the Project Management Institute. Learning at one of such is not a guarantee to passing the PMP Exam. As a matter of fact, there have been recorded cases of participants who have failed the exam and lost time, money, and effort invested.

Let’s face it; it is not easy to find a PMI-accredited training institute that offers the PMP Examination Preparation course at an affordable fee. The PMP certification itself is not cheap to get. An aspiring project management professional would have to pay examination fees and/or membership fees to the Project Management Institute to write the exam. This fee is different from the examination fee. We can say that becoming PMP certified is a whole lot of investment that must yield desired results.
