A project requires a team of people working together to achieve project objectives. Project management is the art of employing management skills, knowledge, and experience to achieve specific project objectives. When teamwork is effectively positive, it leads to a successful project.
Project Management Institute (PMI) started the Project Management Professional Program, certifying project managers in 1984. In the first PMP Examination held in Philadelphia, 56 individuals participated out of which 43 passed and became the first Project Management Professionals.
Today as we know, project management plays a very important role in business and is adopted by individuals in more than 200 countries.
