What is the importance of the PMBOK® Guide?

The Project Management Institute (PMI), the certification body says: “The PMBOK® Guide is an input to preparing for the PMP® exam – and is listed as a reference – but it is not a test-preparation tool.”

Why is PMI revising the PMBOK® Guide?

Technology development has changed how many professions, including project management, conduct their business. Based on feedback from project managers from various industries and locations around the world, this will improve the content and organization. Choosing the best delivery strategy-predictive, adaptive, or hybrid-to finish the work and add value is now a challenge for practitioners. In order to stay current and meet the needs of the clients, PMI realized that the PMBOK® Guide needed to be updated.
