How do you set up your study routine?
Online study works when you make it a routine. First, choose a device that plays video lessons and a spot where you can focus. Then block your study slots in your calendar, so they compete with nothing else.
Choose your slots
Pick two or three fixed slots a week and give each one a task. Short slots suit glossary terms and note review. Meanwhile, longer slots suit video lessons and mock exams. This is our suggestion, not an AACEI rule.
Keep a simple record
Also, keep a short list of lessons finished and sections read. A list shows your progress at a glance. Therefore, you can see what is left before your target date.

What order should you study in?
The parts of our program work well in order. However, you can go back to a lesson whenever a mock exam shows a gap. The table below shows our suggested order. Our guide to using video lessons and a study guide together explains the routine.
| Stage | What to do | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Start | Watch the video lessons, one skill area at a time | The lessons explain the ideas |
| Next | Read the matching study guide sections | The guide gives you the detail |
| Then | Revise from your notes, glossary and formula sheet | Short reviews build recall |
| Finally | Take a mock exam and review every mistake | The mock exam shows where you stand |
How long should each revision round be?
Revision works well in rounds. Enter the weeks you have and the rounds you want. Then the planner shows how long each round lasts.
Revision rounds planner
For planning only. Enter the weeks you have for revision and the rounds you want. The planner then shows the length of each round.
About this example: it starts with 8 weeks and 3 rounds. Change the numbers to match your plan.
In addition, our guide to CCP study time per week helps you set a weekly target.
How do you stay on track while you work?
Work and study compete for the same hours. Therefore, set a weekly target and check it at the end of each week. If you miss a slot, move it rather than skip it.
Review as you go
Take short notes from each lesson. Then revise from them before the next lesson. Our guide to taking notes from video lessons shows a layout that speeds up revision.
Use mock exams as checkpoints
The program includes 3 full-length mock exams. Take one after you finish the lessons, and review every mistake. After that, our guide to using mock exam results helps you find weak areas.
What does the exam itself require?
Online study does not mean an online exam. AACEI says that you take the exam at a Kryterion testing center or through online proctoring. Use the Kryterion locator to check for a testing center near you.
For online proctoring, you need a secluded, quiet space and a personal computer. Therefore, run the Kryterion system check early. In addition, our guides to CCP preparation in Riyadh and CCP preparation in Jeddah cover the exam options in Saudi Arabia.
